Famous Nascar driver Rusty Wallace is retiring this year, and has commissioned a 12 city concert tour (with various bands) to coincide with his "Rusty's Last Call" tour. At present, Cheap Trick are playing two of these Nascar affiliated concert dates, in Nashville and Tampa (as listed above), and admission is reported to be free.

Cheap Trick have just announced that they will be undertaking a short tour with Alice Cooper in the US from around 20 August to 16 September. There is no confirmation of dates or cities as yet as routing is still being worked out with promoters and venues. The band are likely to hold Meet'n'Greets at some of the cities during this tour for members of the Trick International fan club. Watch the official web site for further information.

The band played a pre-game set at Jacksonville FL on 6 Feb as part of the Superbowl event. The played at the baseball grounds near the stadium, with entry only allowed to those holding tickets for the Superbowl game.

It is reported that the animated movie "Rock'n'Rule" is finally due for DVD release on 7 June in the USA. The film features three tracks by Cheap Trick (complete versions can be found in the Sex.America.Cheap Trick CD box set), as well as a duet by Robin and Debbie Harry (titled "Send Love Through") at the climax of the movie.

Speaking of animation, a new video has just been added to the official website. The fan produced animation (a labour of love by Karen and Mark, aka "FrednElvis") accompanies "Sorry Boy" and is extremely well done and worth a viewing!

Cheap Trick are currently involved in a contractual situation with the Signature Network Corporation over merchandise, with Signature starting to sell several unauthorised designs of CT t-shirt. A statement from Cheap Trick's management can be read on the official website.
