Newsletter Issue #58 - June 2007
Welcome to the fifty-eighth "UNOFFICIAL" Cheap Trick newsletter, and I hope
you find it of interest. It includes reviews of the bands shows in California
and Milwaukee in late Feb/early March {
Cal_MKE_Feb07
}. I must apologise for the long delay
between the last issue in January and this one, which has been due to personal
circumstances.
The following live dates are currently listed on the official CT website (www.cheaptrick.com)
as at 15 June. Check online regularly as new shows are added occasionally. As
always, dates are subject to confirmation and change so please check before
travelling, and check the website for further additions:-

Note: * The show in Boston on 1st August is headlined by Squeeze.
The band will be playing at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 10 & 11
August, though are not performing a Cheap Trick show. They will be the "house
band",and together with the Hollywood Bowl Orchesta and guest vocalists, they
will be contributing to these two shows which celebrate the 40th anniversary
of the release of The Beatles' legendary "Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club
Band" album.
The band played at the Chicago Auto Show on 8 February, and their 25 minute
set was broadcast live by the local XRT radio station. In addition, the band
played at Augusta GA on April 3rd at the annual "Rock Fore! Dough" benefit at
the start of the famous Augusta Masters golf week. That show was interesting
as Jon Brant stood in for Tom, who was unavailable. Pictures from the show can
be found on pages 18-20 of the picture gallery at
http://spotted.augusta.com/masters/display.html?gallery=64193 . They also
played at Dolphin Stadium in Miami on April 21 following the Florida Marlins v
Washington Nationals Major League Baseball game.
Video of Cheap Trick performing "If It Takes a Lifetime" (filmed at the
opening of the Hard Rock Cafe, Narita Tokyo in October 2006) has reportedly
been spotted playing at a HRC in Europe recently. So if you're dining in a
Hard Rock Cafe, do keep an eye (and ear) out for that!
As ever, the official website
www.cheaptrick.com is worth checking regularly, and not only for details
of confirmed tour dates. Several sets of new photos can be found from recent
shows and events, as well as some wonderful vintage pictures recently added.
And the merchandise store continues to offer a wide range of Cheap Trick
goodies.
