As well as the already scheduled "Dream Police" album show on 23 Sept show at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, the band recently announced a further run of 10 "Dream Police" shows at the Northern Lights Theater, Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee between 7 October and 5 November.

Just announced - the band return to the UK in November 2011, supporting Deep Purple at 4 arena shows in Scotland and England. Tickets are already on sale..

Most fans will already be aware of the events at the Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada on 17 July. The band were on stage during their headlining set, when a severe storm caused the stage to collapse. Incredibly, none of the band or stage crew were injured, though the bands truck driver was hospitalised. In case you've missed this event, the home page of CheapTrick.com features news, pictures and video, and other reports and video can be found online from various news outlets. The bands backline and instruments were severely damaged and the stage was impounded for several days pending safety work by the Canadian authorities. However, in true Cheap Trick style, the tour continued 2 nights later in Lewiston, NY (in front of a 15,000 crowd) without a single show being cancelled. The band has called for an investigation and measures to protect other bands and crowds at outdoor events.

On 28 July, Rick was a guest at the recording of VH1 Classics "That Metal Show" with Eddie Trunk. The episode will air on October 15 on VH1 Classic in the US.

Footage from the bands appearance at the UK's Download Festival in June was aired in mid-July on the UK's "Sky Arts" TV channel. Two 2-hour highlights programmes were screened, covering most artists who played on the various stages over that weekend. Nice to see Cheap Trick having 3 songs screened - "I Want You to Want Me", "Surrender" and "Sick Man of Europe", with headliners such as Def Leppard and Alice Cooper having 4 songs broadcast.

The "Countryside Blvd" CD featuring Robin, which had been re-scheduled for release on 22 November 2011, appears now to have been put back indefinitely.

Don't forget to check the official website regularly. There are currently lots of photographs from recent shows, as well as links to several reviews and articles. Of course cheaptrick.com is always the first place to find news, up-to-date tour dates, photo's as well as merchandise etc.
