Newsletter Issue #70 - Jan 2011 Welcome to the seventieth "UNOFFICIAL" Cheap Trick newsletter, and I hope you find it (and the UK tour review - { UK Tour 2010 }) of interest.

Jul 29 - Dubuque, IA
The band will be performing a special "Dream Police" show at the Potawatomi
Casino in Milwaukee on select dates between 20 Jan and 26 Feb (listed below).
The show will feature the Bombastic Symphonic Philharmonic and the Rhythmic
Noise Mind Choir. As well as songs from the platinum selling Dream Police
album, other Cheap Trick songs will be featured. More details can be found on
cheaptrick.com, and tickets are currently on sale.

The band played during the halftime break at the NFL Play-Off match between
the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets on Sat 8 Jan, performing "Surrender"
and "I Want You to Want Me". On Thurs 13 Jan, the band will be performing
"Dream Police" on the Conan show on TBS in the USA in anticipation of the
Milwaukee shows. Conan is not currently broadcast on any UK channel.
The PBS network in the US is currently screening the "Austin City Limits"
episode which features Cheap Trick (recorded in Mar 2010). See local listings

In Nov 2010, the American HDNet channel broadcast an edited version of CT's
outdoor show recorded at Austin's SXSW Festival in Mar 2010.
Also in November, the band were featured in the US premiere of the Simpsons
episode "How Munched Is That Birdie In The Window", with Homer showing off his
CT "tramp stamp". American readers can view an excerpt on the official
website, cheaptrick.com. This episode aired on Sky One in the UK on Sun 9 Jan.
CT performed a 6 song set at the UK's "Classic Rock Roll of Honour" awards in
London on 10 Nov, during their well received, week long UK tour. The band also
received an award for the "At Budokan" album during the ceremony. The
December issue of "Classic Rock" magazine also gave away a copy of "The
Latest" CD with each of its 100,000 issues.
The "Countryside Blvd" CD featuring Robin now appears to be scheduled for US
release on 22 March, but this could again be subject to change.
Don't forget to check the official website regularly. There are currently lots
of photographs from the NFL halftime, the UK tour and earlier shows, as well
as links to several reviews and articles. Of course cheaptrick.com is always
the first place to find news, up-to-date tour dates, as well as merchandise
etc. The official merchandise store is currently running a new years sale,
whilst Zazzle offers a large range of custom merchandise including some new
"Latest" items - both online stores can be reached via the official website.
